What the site is
E6B Calculator is a training and flight-planning aid. It is not FAA-approved equipment and it is not a substitute for your aircraft's Pilot's Operating Handbook or Airplane Flight Manual, its weight and balance record, current charts, or an official weather briefing. The pilot in command is responsible for every decision about a flight.
Accuracy
The calculations are tested against published FAA material and standards, as described on the sources and methods page. Tests cover those references, not every possible input, and results depend on the numbers you enter. Check results before relying on them, especially for weight and balance, fuel and performance.
Weather
Live METARs and TAFs come from the Aviation Weather Center's public data service and may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable. Decoded reports explain the text of a report; they are not a forecast or a briefing.
Acceptable use
Use the site freely for your own training and planning. Please do not overload it with automated requests, including through the weather lookup, or probe it for vulnerabilities.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
